Effective January 1, 2019, LGA became an affiliate bar group of the Virginia Bar Association (VBA). With the paid VBA membership of the LGA President, President‑Elect, and the Secretary comes practically all the benefits of VBA memberships to all of our LGA members.

For starters, all LGA members will be eligible to pay the discounted rate of a VBA member on any conference, forum, Continuing Legal Education (CLE), or other event sponsored by the VBA. The VBA has robust CLE programs with specialty sections conducting conferences and CLEs year‑round.

Additionally, LGA members get complimentary use of VBA on Main located in downtown Richmond at 1111 East Main Street, Suite 905. The LGA Board, LGA committees, or an LGA member simply doing work away from the office while in Richmond may use for free this 3,700 square feet technology‑filled location. VBA on Main features a board room that seats 26, four smaller rooms, personal work spaces, spacious break and coffee areas with a beautiful view of the Capitol, copiers, robust wireless Internet, and video technology. So when you are in Richmond for appearances and meetings, feel free to reserve a room to complete research, have a conference call, print a document, send emails, or just relax at VBA on Main.
